The Dallas Police Department has a Twitter account. Twitter allows us to send short (140 character) messages as SMS ("Text messages") to cellular telephones, to smart phones with Twitter apps, or computers logged into Twitter's web site.
Often Nixle alerts will be accompanied by Twitter alerts to provide mobile notifications via cellular phones.
