Downtown is the heartbeat of Dallas. As the Division Commander, I have the distinct pleasure of leading the Central Business Division as we work in unison with our partners to revitalize and preserve its rich diversity. 

Downtown Dallas is steeped in history and immersive cultural experiences. With historical landmarks, educational opportunities, and a vibrant nightlife, officers in the Central Business Division strive to make downtown Dallas a safe and attractive destination for businesses, residents, and guests. I have implemented a multifaceted approach to improve the safety of downtown to make it an appealing place to experience. The strategic deployment of resources including Crime Response Teams, Neighborhood Police Officers, bike officers, and patrol officers aims to reduce crime, respond quickly to calls for service, and provide a visible presence every day.

I am pleased to say we have forged productive relationships with numerous organizations such as Downtown Dallas, Inc., Housing Forward, Downtown Dallas Security Director’s Association, and the Safe in the City coalition. When a community builds partnerships, aligns goals, and maintains a steadfast commitment to preserving the richness of this urban community, we all succeed.
