The Latino Community Outreach Program is designed to provide assistance to the Spanish speaking residents in the Dallas area.
Sergeant Edward Reyes and Senior Corporal Arturo Martinez are the Latino Community Liaison Officers and the UNIDOS Coordinators. They serve as the liaisons between the Hispanic Community and the Dallas Police Department with the intent to help bridge the gap between the Department and the Latino Community.
The UNIDOS Program and the Community Police Academy (held in Spanish) were developed to provide valuable resources and information to the Hispanic Community. The main objective of the programs are to help promote safer communities and a better quality of life for all who live and work in our communities through education and empowerment.
For more information, please contact the Office of Community Affairs at 214-671-4045.
UNIDOS meetings and events are held during throughout the year. The intent of the program is to act as a resource center for Spanish speaking residents and present information and provide assistance in areas of importance to the Latino Community. Our UNIDOS program seeks to continue building positive relationships with our Spanish-speaking Hispanic/Latino community with programming, information, and events done entirely in Spanish.
